Exhibition Design and independent culture in Croatia, 1990-2010, analyzes innovative research concepts and aesthetics in the design of visual communication in the area of alternative, progressive and independent social, cultural practice, especially in Croatia from the 80's to today. In addition to outlining some historical references are shown tendencies and changes in the design stage that are specific for Croatia, but also a reflection of international trends. It is a period when design discipline in expansion as a social phenomenon, but also in Croatia is going through a phase of consolidation professional. The exhibition was created as a natural sequence, after the publication of the book "Design and autonomous culture", edited by Dea Vidovic and Maroje Mrduljaš and designed Dario Devic and Hrvoje Živčić. The book was published last year an Association Clubture and Italic - The platform for the issues of culture, media and society in partnership with the publishing house UPI2M Books, and on this project, we had the opportunity to inform the conference last year when he was a guest co-author and editor of the book Maroje Mrduljaš.
