The writer David Albahari once said, invoking the English proverb which says an apple a day prolongs life, as one song a day extends spiritual life and strengthen mental health. In this spirit, on Jan 1st 2010th, at The Cultural Center of Belgrade website firstly, and later in other interactive areas, starts the project that we named A POEM PER DAY.
At the time of information intensive pressure during which people were buried frightening amount of news, daily action, ads, packages, discounts, gifts, torrents of words and images that do not offer any meaning, and spoil everyday mental activities, The Belgrade Cultural Center offers, by the beginning of the next year, the daily spiritual content which should remind that life is not just chasing the discounts or killing time between two business projects. It is necessary to recall that this life can have some more spiritual moments that should not be separated from the mouth, or shorten your time.
Every day, The Belgrade Cultural Center presents visitors a poem for longer and better life. Songs are arranged in thematic monthly cycles, and will include poetry and people of all ages. In addition to songs themselves, visitors will be introduced and basic bio-bibliographical details, ie. guidelines for further research. Also, it provided space for comments and active participation in the project are planned, and games with valuable gifts - books of our most prominent publishers.
So, not only the exercise of spiritual formation, but also the opportunity for multi-gymnastics!
