Magazine Refoto in his ten-year history, initiated and organized big number of photo contests for its readers. Year 2011th is marked with the most massive competition so far with the theme "monochrome world." The competition lasted one year, and at the editorial address arrived over 5,000 images: mostly from Serbia, but also from all the countries of former Yugoslavia, while a smaller number of works arrived from around the world. Subject "Monochrome world" enabled photographers to go back to a bit forgotten black and white photo, which has become very popular again, after the great expansion of digital technology. In addition to black and white, readers were sending also monochrome photos in color in which the atmosphere was often more dominant than the color. A lot of topics that can be classified into categories such as Portraits, Landscapes, Urban scenes, Still life, Arranged photography, World of plants and animals, Abstraction, and many others, found himself under the main theme. During the year the magazine Refoto has been publishing selection of the best twenty photos submitted every month, and the selection of hundreds of the best photos from the entire competition, and winning works will be displayed in the Artget Gallery from January 12th to February 19th 2012.

The February edition of Refoto will be decorating with a large portfolio of award-winning and so far unpublished photographs from the narrowest election.
