School of Ecopoetics III

The third cycle of the School of Ecopoetics encourages reflection on a different understanding of economics as the science of managing resources under conditions of scarcity. It highlights examples from contemporary literature—especially solarpunk and energy ecopoetics within the framework of ecohumanities—teaches us to recognize birdsong, and presents several ecohumanistic publications by local authors to the public.

The School of Ecopoetics at the Cultural Center of Belgrade was launched in 2024 in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Belgrade and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Warsaw, with the goal of fostering familiarity with and deeper understanding of ecological issues through poetic expression. The previous editions were accompanied by the publications List No.1 (2024) and List No.2 (created in conjunction with the World Poetry Day program, March 2025), both published by the Cultural Center of Belgrade.

The third cycle is being carried out in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Belgrade, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Warsaw, and partners: the Institute for Literature and Art in Belgrade, the Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia, FILUM in Kragujevac, and the Department of Serbian Literature with South Slavic Literatures at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade.

The program is open to all those interested in exploring the connections between artistic expression and ecological responsibility and self-awareness.
