In 1991, on the outskirts of Tenja, Josip Reihl Kir, head of the Osijek Police Department and a man dedicated to negotiations and peace, was killed. Peacemaker is the story of the last months of his life at the beginning of the Croatian-Serbian war, which Cyrus tirelessly tried to prevent, through witness statements and archival materials from that period. Even after more than 30 years, many details of his murder remain unclear, and the identities of those who ordered the liquidation are still unknown.
