26th International Festival “The Days of Organ – Dies organorum”: Živojin Mladenović

Živojin Mladenović, student of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade from the class of prof. Maja Smiljanić Radić, will perform this year, as part of the festival program which promotes young organist. This is an opportunity for the young musicians to enrich their professional biography and gain much needed experience.

Živojin Mladenović is a final year student of the bachelor academic studies of organ at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Maja Smiljanić-Radić.
He attended simultaneously the Secondary Music School “Stanković”, piano department in the class of Sonja Perić, and the Secondary Music School “Josip Slavenski”, organ department in the class of Milica Sabljić, and acquired fundamental knowledge in music theory, harmony, counterpoint and musical forms. He is also actively engaged in harpsichord performance and solo singing, developing a versatile artistic expression. He has performed at numerous concerts and festivals in the country and abroad. He is a regular participant in the International Festival Dies organorum in Belgrade, and has performed at the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Belgrade, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zemun (as part of the concert cycle “Encounters”), as well as in the churches of San Giovanni Crisostomo and Sacro Cuore di Gesù in Venice. In 2025, he gave a concert in the famous Tempio Malatestiano in Rimini. He has learned from distinguished professors and prominent European organists in the master classes and seminars, among which Juan de la Rubia, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Ludger Lohmann, Arvid Gast, Loreto Aramendi, Arno Hartmann and Matteo Messori stand out. His repertoire includes compositions from Baroque to Romanticism, with a special affinity for the opus of Johann Sebastian Bach and the rich tradition of Italian organ music. In interpretations, he strives to unite stylistic authenticity, technical certainty and expressive musicality, building a recognizable artistic expression based on dedication, sensibility and a deep understanding of the musical text.
