Concert of the 12th International Festival “Belgrade SAXperience”: DUO MÉTIS

This concert is part of the 12th International Saxophone Festival Belgrade SAXperience. Program of Duo Métis, formed by Luis González and Antoine Guerrero, highlights the rich legacy of French melody, as well as the exuberance and originality of Spanish and South American traditions. Like members of the Duo say: Gabriel Fauré, Astor Piazzolla and Manuel de Falla, great composers will accompany us on this journey, from the intimate sounds of salon music to the warm energy of café songs.

Biography:
A synonym for the meeting of cultures, Duo Métis is formed by saxophonist Luis González and guitarist Antoine Guerrero, two musicians from different countries with similar artistic backgrounds. Their paths crossed in 2017 in Seville, and in 2021, they created this duo in Paris. Both studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where they received advice and encouragement frompersonalities such as David Walter, Claude Delangle, Lazlo Hadady, and Olivier Chassain.
Since its creation, Duo Métis has performed in more than 50 concerts across Europe with various repertoires, in festivals, theaters, educational concerts, and different cultural mediation projects. They are regularly sought after by programmers such as Jeunes Talents, Les Caprices de Marianne, Les Concertsde Poche, or Jeunesses Musicales d’Espagne, and they also collaborate withinstitutional organizations such as the Instituto Cervantes.
They have notably performed at the “Noches del Real Alcázar” Festival in Sevilla, at the “Socidad Filarmónica” of Badajoz (Spain), the National Archives of Paris (as part of the Jeunes Talents Festival), the Festival de Musique en Ubaye (2022, 2023), the Instituto Cervantes of Bordeaux, and the Gala Fest Chamber Music Festival in Córdoba.
They made their debut at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona on 2023.
