Branko lives on the fringes of Belgrade society. Because of the isolation, he can’t sleep and doesn’t talk to anyone. His only obsession is his younger brother, whose muddy shoes, bloody sheets and mysterious movements make him uneasy. Branko follows his brother’s every step, haunted by his strange behavior. As the paranoia grows, Branko realizes that the strangeness is not coming from his brother, but from himself.

The film takes place in a remote mountain village and follows teenagers who discover their true identity through music and rebellion against tradition. Fifteen-year-old Ahmet lives under the strict hand of his father, expected to take care of the family herd after his mother’s death. Everything changes when Ahmet stumbles upon a secret techno party in the forest, a world of rhythm, light and freedom, where he meets Aya, a girl who wants to escape from an arranged marriage. Inspired, Ahmet transforms the old family tractor into a mobile boombox and together they set off in search of music, freedom and self-knowledge.

When he learns that the remains of his late grandmother, a refugee from the war, could be returned to her native village in Dalmatia, he sets off on a journey with his father, Mirko, who returns to the family home after 25 years. During the journey, Nikola gains unexpected insights about parenting, family, the passing of time and the nebulous nature of memory.
