A touching and inspiring story based on true events and a bestselling novel about Bronja Žakelj’s life, which follows her through different life stages. As a child, Bronja enjoys exploring the world with her younger brother Rok and finds comfort in her grandmother Dada. Her carefree childhood is interrupted by the death of her mother, who died of cancer. In her late teens, she faced the same serious illness when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The film depicts Bronja’s journey growing up during the 1980s and 1990s, as well as her personal transformation, offering viewers hope and inspiration.
