26th International Festival “The Days of Organ – Dies organorum”: JULIAN EMANUEL BECKER

Young German organist Julian Emanuel Becker has already won first prizes at the most prestigious competitions in Germany, such as the Bach Competition in Leipzig and the International Organ Competition in Wiesbaden. In Belgrade, he will present works by German composers Bach, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Reubke.
Becker will also give concerts in Senta on Saturday, June 27th at the The Heart of Jesus Church, Budapest on 28th June st the Budapest Inner-City Mother Church and Debrecen on 30th June at the Kistemplom. This tour is organized by Goethe Institut in Belgrade.

Biography:
Julian Emanuel Becker (2005 in Hannover, Germany) has been gaining recognition since his success as the youngest prizewinner of the British St Albans International Organ Competition in 2023. In 2024 he was awarded the 1st prize at the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition Leipzig as the youngest participant too.
Other awards include the solo prize of the German National Music Competition, 1st prize at the International Organ Competition Wiesbaden, the International Organ Improvisation Competition Weimar, the Grotrian-Steinweg International Piano Competition among others. As a composer he was awarded four times the German national young composers’ prize. He is a scholarship holder by the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung).
Julian has been studying at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig with Martin Schmeding and Thomas Lennartz (organ) and Jacques Ammon (piano) since 2023. In 2025/26 he completed an Erasmus semester at the Conservatoire Supérieur National Paris.
Concert performances have taken him to the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Essen Philharmonic Hall and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival among others. As a composer and arranger, he has written commissioned works and transcriptions for renowned artists such as Igor Levit, Jeroen Berwaerts and the brass ensemble „Salaputia Brass“.
