Biography:
Alexander Karpov was born in Leningrad in 1984. After graduating Glinka Choral College he received a degree as a choir conductor at Rimsky-Korsakov Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory. As a composer he’s started to work solidly after collaboration with french company ” La toison d’art” and still working with.
His music was played in many concert halls such as “Théâtre du Châtelet” in Paris (France), cathedral church in Bruxelles (Belgium), Opera Monte-Carlo and many others in Netherlands, Germany and other European cities. Mostly he composes contemporary music for ballets, musicals and music for drama pieces. Also you can hear his music in a several Russian tv-shows, films, games and commercials. As arranger and producer he’s been working with many music bands. He collaborates with many different choreographers and director such as Vladimir Varnava and Maxim Didenko.
He has a music project called “Fin de Siecle” which he released two singles with. In 2019 he was a participant of the workshop with Michael Price in Moscow Film School and in 2022 with composer Harry Gregson-Williams at “NGClab”.
